The property, now run by the 5th generation of the family, is located in the village of Marcillac, approximately 20 kms north of Blaye.
The vineyards, with an average age of 20 years, are planted on a gravel clay soil which allows for good vine growth and maturity. Only the most necessary of treatments are applied to the vines.
The varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon share the 16 hectares of vineyards equally, while Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle cover 3.5 hectares.
The cellars are equipped with cement and stainless steel vats, as well as temperature control machinery which is used to obtain each variety’s best expression following harvest and crushing. |
